2006 zx6r making a snare drum sound

Hey guys

My track bike fired up no problem after this winter but I'm getting a strange noise from it

Any thoughts?

Haven't had the bike under load, since it isn't street legal. Don't want to go to the track my first day and have engine failure and ruin other people's track day

Is it just me or I don't hear any sound ?
 
Maybe an exhaust leak?
 
i'm thinking it's the infamous kawi tick. if it is, replace the stock auto cam chain tensioner with the APE manual cam chain tensioner.
 
I thought it was the cam tensioner but it is coming from the left side of the motor

Sounds like a snare drum

Maybe it has been awhile since I heard a bike again.

Just sounds like the piston firing is louder and more pronounced than before
 
sounds like there is a exhaust leak.

cct sounds fine but with the kawis you can back out one of the bolts on it then slowly crank the other one out till you hear a click then tighten them both back up. the spring in them weakens but the tab that locks it further out still works so when you release the pressure it will extend then you can put it back in and call it a day.
if i had to do it again ide just swap it out for the ape like i did on the 600rr.
