Vintage Triumph Mechanic Toronto

Hey guys,

Couple questions. I am a little lost. I bought a 71 Triump Bonneville that has been bobbed out a bit and stripped down. I bought it from back home out east. Out there they don't need a lot to safety a bike.

In a box I have the speedo, no cable. Front fender and indicator lights. You can see the bike I think in my profile

What I am looking for is a good mechanic to put everything on for me, just for the safety. Possibly keep some stuff on.

I live up in Newmarket so the closer the better since I will have to ride the bike there without plates.

Any help would be awesome

Any mechanic should be able to perform those tasks. If you need a vintage Triumph specialist, I always hear good things about Rick Harrett at Highway Cycle in Waterdown. 27 Dundas St. E Unit C 905 690-3966

I heard the same thing actually. Only thing is it s a bit far with no legal plates ;) ha ha .

Ya, I kinda meant for future reference when you're in a real bind. He's a good source to have on the the Rolodex.

So really, you want it safetied. I think we all know the name of a mechanic that you can probably get a safety from without much effort/expense (located just south of the 401).

GreyGhost you are 100% right and how do I get that without putting it on here. Is there a direct message thing on here, I am new.

Really nice looking bike. Years ago I had a 650 BSA and it had what looks like the same pipes on it. Loud as hell and occasionally blew flames out the pipes when it backfired on start-up.

Hope you find a local shop that can help.

So Rick Harret made the front page of the Hamilton Spectator today, below the fold.

I know Robbie down at Rocket Motorcycles used to build triumphs way back when in the 70s. He's at eddystone and jane.

I had some work done on my bike at Bronko's in Milton - I would suggest you give them a call. Had one of the nicest, cleanest looking old Triumph bikes I've seen in a while. Pretty sure it was built by the owner, and I am happy with all the work on my bike.
