FWIW I hate to feel good about others misfortunes but deely literally shat upon many good established dealers when they went "boutique"
He would have to have made at least that, I would suspect more. To do all the importation paperwork, handle invoicing, marketing efforts, warehousing and transportation? 1K per unit is not a lot of scratch at all.
No question Polaris (Indian) doesnt have anywhere near the pedigree of HD, but its hard to ignore that the brand Indian is very sound in peoples perception and there will be lots of people (as Chief and scout sales indicate) that want an American cruiser, not an HD product.
