Biker Day at BMO Field with Toronto FC Game

group tickets will be encourage and sold at a discounted rate for 10+ tickets...in fact, group tickets might be the only way to do this...

also, we plan on having an area to store your gear and it'll be like a coat check system. looking forward to having you out!

re: box, the size of the box won't be able to accommodate the riders. i'm anticipating a decent number.

LOL .......TFC what a waste of good turf. I would rather watch a u-18 oysl game better product at least its competitive. The only thing the TFC do well is sell beer in the stands more then the leafs and blue jays combined. Hell I would have to be drunk to watch such a poor product on the field. This year will be no different then any other once a player like Dafoe or Giovinco sees the quality of soccer here they high tail it outta here. I bet they still don`t make the playoffs and next year the revolving door keeps a spinning.

Maybe make a pitch for Ronaldo or Messi to buy some credibility

Btw rkid052 if its you that keeps calling me to renew my seasons tickets from 4-5 years ago give up not interested unless you sign one of the 2 above

LMAO

thank you for your opinion.

no it is not me calling you. if you want to PM me we can sort out your call issue.

Once you have more details planned. Maybe we should have a forum buy for the tickets. Have a GTA Motorcycle Members section at the game. Different way to have a meet and greet with each other.

I wouldn't expect you to have that many vendors. Just a couple selling the usual crap, T-shirts, gloves, stickers, etc. Have some of it geared towards the TFC.

I am with The Bandit on this one.

Every single time (or so it seems) that I buy tickets, TFC loses the game.

Last time I was there it happened again, and I said to myself "My good will is not enough. This guys have to play and have to win, otherwise this is a joke".

Not something I am interested in, but I hope it works out. Organizing moto themed events seem to be hit-and-miss here.

that's a good idea...i'm talking with many biker clubs/orgs and they all love it the proposed event. i think it'll be big..

totally understand where you're coming from Macros...we need to win. you're right.

in fact, i'm going tomorrow to meet our saviour Giovinco from the airport. he's going to be a beast in MLS...

but with the new stadium renovations underway and these new signings, the buzz from the fan base is huge. can't wait for the season to start. and would love to have you participate Marcos if you change your mind.

Dont mean to beat a dead horse but the game is a team sport and Giovonci will struggle. When surrounded by poop only matter of time before he looks like poop. The problem is the quality of the game here in the MLS is so poor with most players coming out of the north america university system which is still far behind the rest of the world in soccer.

I also know first hand how the TFC treat their academy players. My son played with the academy but I saw nothing there for him except false promises so I took him to europe where the real game is and opportunities are. A player in the blue square which is 4th division in England make more then most mls players. One only has to look at Osorio who makes piddly coin who played against my son in youth soccer. Or a player like Matt Stinson who the Tfc destroyed or Nicholas Lindsey and many others just from my sons age group.

Whats even worse is the Tfc is meddling in the youth leauges robbing good players from the oysl teams watering down the youth game in Ontario only to cut later and having the OSA cater to their wants hence shutting down the Csl and creating new divisions and leauges to accomadate them like leaugue 1 and now jumping to the USL pro.

For me since Tfc the beautiful game has taken a turn for the worse in the province.

Sorry for the rant but had to get it off my chest

The team has come a long way since 2006 and this years starting lineup looks interesting.

Look at the European experience in a projected stating 11, Giovinco will not be surrounded by "poop" like you say:

CB - Perquis - Polish NT, Ligue 1, Primera Division

CB - Caldwell - Scotland NT, Premier League, Championship

CM - Cheyrou - French Youth NT, Ligue 1

RM - Bradley - U.S NT, Eredivisie, Busdasliga, Seria A

LW - Giovinco - Italy NT, Seria A

ST - Altidore - U.S NT, Eredivisie, Premier League, Championship

RW - Moore - Premiership + Championship, Turkey 1st League

along with:

GK - Bendik - Limited experience in Norway.

LB - Morrow - NASAL Product (N.American 2nd Div)

RB - Bloom - Drafted

LM - Osorio - Local product

The CSL was a corrupt league and shutting it down will only help the development of local talent. - League 1 replaces CSL and USL Pro (N.American 3rd Div) will allow TFC players to develop further, avoiding them being pushed into MLS to early but having stronger competition than Ontario League 1.

Yes, Starting players in Canada don't make as much money as they would in Europe - however if they are good, money will come their way. I'm certain if Osorio continues his development he will have a nice raise soon. (Not to say his current $142,000 is that bad).

I ride to all the games and usually check my helmet without a problem. However, once last year I arrived and security at gate 3 refused me entry with a helmet. I patiently explained that I always arrive with a helmet and that I take it to customer service where I check it. That is the procedure. They patiently insisted I take it back to my car. Ensuing laughter from all around resulted in some blushing and prompt admission. Which is to say, I'm in. Keep us posted.

They had to, as any player competing in CSL after its desanctioning from FIFA and Canadian Soccer Association, would be disqualified to compete in any FIFA league afterwards. The lack of infrastructure is to blame.

People have to accept TFC as it is. The people of Toronto are not given a winning team, just as in the case with Maple Leafs, but given a team that participates in the top of its competition lol

I hope there will be a police escort, riders are gonna join in the group ride even without the game ticket, i am anticipating 50-100 riders, this amount is not joking in downtown traffic.

Believe me I would love to see some quality soccer here in Toronto and I could be wrong and the team gels hopefully Giovinci raises everyone's game and they actually make the playoffs. If they do I actually might spend some electricity to watch on the boob tube.

BTW any wheelies allowed on the ride???

Looks like fun I'd be up for this!

guys,

I work for Toronto FC and am also an avid rider (f4i). I'm organizing a massive Biker Day at BMO Field this summer on a TFC game day. I've reached out to a few clubs and they are all loving the idea and on board.

I want to bring up to this forum to get some feedback from you beautiful bastards as well.

In my mind, it is like any other large biker gathering (think Woodbine Mall or something like that) but on the BMO grounds. We will celebrate bikes, riders, and soccer, along with a charity to be determined. We will take over to be determined space on the BMO grounds and show off our awesome community. The idea is that in order to participate in the biker day you have to buy a ticket to the game (any price! and start as low as $20)

We will roar through the city as a big pack with awesome TFC flags given to all the riders to show our support for the boys on the pitch. There will be a procession that will turn heads and end at BMO Field through the awesome Princes' Gates. And maybe a large ride somewhere up north after the game for those willing...

So...i would love to hear everything from this community. I know we're in the depths of winter but large-scale events take a while to plan. Guys, i can make this happen if we want it. Internally, I've convinced the top brass here. what do YOU think!??

thanks,

John

Any update on this? The woman and I were talking about this last night.
