Winter Makeover

Looking good, Ric. I'd like to pick up a cheap trials bike to mess around in the backyard and teach friends to ride.

Made a heatshield from material i got at Royal. (thanks gtam)

Making progress with this project.A big pain is removing old factory loctite.Bench grinder wire wheel and a set of taps do the trick.I lockwired the fuel line connectors just in case.Getting at them means pulling the motor.(NOT a nice job) Stickers and airbox pad went on while i could still flip the frame around.Powdercoat by JohnnyP636 is the best!

Does it still work? How'd your extra gasket tweak pan out?

Runs great. The motor feels and sounds a lot different with the new piston and cylinder.it's a "little" easier to kick thru.I expected it to make a bit more of a difference. But i'm happy.

SplatShop frameguards.I didn't do this much work just to watch my boots wreck the cool powdercoat.
I also put a couple of chunks of 3M paint protection film over the side plastics.
Trials competitions here i come.
