Glad to know rider is safe Accident like these are unfortunate & are nightmare for any biker.

Thanks. I'm pretty skeptical of driverless cars myself, at least in the near term. Eventually the technology might become feasible, but the cost is still a big question mark. Near military grade radars, an array of complex cameras, extremely high repair technician costs and other things might mean that driverless cars remain a rich man's toy for a long time after they're eventually introduced. And of course, the first time one runs over a kid, the spectre of MINDLESS EVIL ROBOT CARS will come out.

Even if they do eventually take to the roads, I can't see human-driven cars vanishing. We sell sports cars and motorcycles now, after all. A significant percentage of drivers (and riders) enjoy the experience of driving for it's own sake (though they are in the minority), so the only real question is how bad the insurance will get.
