RACE Superseries new 2015 resistration fee's

I watched l trackday vid on some dude on a Gsxr with a helmet cam, the layout is sweet and it's a wide track, the only thing is that effin wall at the end man that's bad

the fastest this guy gets up to is about 184kph and that's a long way from race speed. i dunno, looks like a lot of cement to me, I would not race there and especially spend thousands to go there to do it! I don't think this is very well thought out by CSBK and certainly not in the best interest of the racers!

That guy is going far slower than what will happen at a race, 200+ will happen there. I watched another video and they obviously have more than one layout. This one doesn't have all of the silly concrete walls.

Same sketchy layout at a real pace. 4th gear on a ZX10...210ish probably.

Ya those are better, thanks for posting. The one in the second vid looks much better but still has about 3 major death traps. My concern would also be bikes bouncing off the walls and coming back in front of traffic. Neither vid is really superbike racing speed

thats why its a double header. to force people to go. most would not go and leave the points out there for 1 race but 2, can ruin a great points run.

As long as Colin puts on his show and makes some money, I guess that's all that is important. I don't know why people risk there lives for this guy??????

Yeah kind of a dirty move.

Well,, "WE" out here in the east have options. We have Grand Bend,Cayuga,Mosport and Mosport DDT,Calabogie and Shannonville,St. Eustache,Tremblant. Out west they have Castrol Park.
So although you may think the series is just wallowing in cash the bigger picture with Edmonton to me is much like Shuby. Shuby needs the income and CSBK to help raise money and awareness. With CSBK going to Shuby the track has done the best it can to make the track safer. In fact Shuby helped us all by bringing awareness to the bottle bag system and implementing it first. So going to Edmonton,, helps the people out west get awareness and may help bring the track up to a safer standard.
All those walls there look like movable cement blocks. Also the videos seem to change from real bad with dirt around the track to better as the grass seems to grow in. This tells me the track is adjusting.
Some may choose to go and some may not but the reality is the impact this makes on our sport by bridging the east and west. There are some very good riders out west that can not afford to travel out here. If we can go out there and help them raise the level of their venue,, to me,, that;s the win,win for the sport.
Regardless,, any track in Canada,,less maybe Grand Bend,,, has some section you ride to get through,,or should in my opinion. They all seem to have serious safety issues somewhere. Be safe!

Another video of entire Castrol circuit

I should add that it is from April 2014 so things might have changed.

It is my understanding that EMRA had their initial race season with Castrol in 2014. Any race videos of 2013 and earlier where at the Stratotech race track which has closed.

Quick update. The rulebook is done. Copy sent to RACE beginning of this week for them to personalize. Michelle is out of town, it will be posted Friday or Saturday on the site. Also 2014 SOAR Banquet and Awards to be held again at the Irish Hall March 7th, 2015 details to follow shortly.

It looks a bit like I may miss the May 15 race, not because of bike prep but because of my eye surgery. I'm not convalescing nearly as well as I'd hoped, something to do with the layer of tissue over my cornea being thin and a bit loose. Right now I can barely see out of my left eye and I have a bandage contact lens in it. There's a month to go but they tell me that I won't have my full vision for at least three weeks and it will continue to settle. But, this is far from a sure thing and if I can make the event I will.
