For the past few months my heart has been set on the FZ however, recently I was distracted by the shiny object that is the GSX S750. I'm a new rider looking for a Naked Sport Standard bike. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
I have never seen, never mind touched, sat on or ridden either machine. Being Japanese already puts them in good stead. Japs have been pushing these things out for years. Decide what you like, call insurance company and proceed.

ps, being a new rider will raise some eyebrows

The two bikes are not really comparable. The gsx is closer to the FZ09, much more power than the fz07. Not sure, but the suzuki will likely have ABS, while the fz does not in canada.
The SFV650 is closer to the FZ07, and better.
