I'm a new rider this season. Approaching retirement age, I decided to finally learn to ride and find out what it was all about.
I took the M1Exit course at Learning Curves this spring, learned the basics, and qualified for my M2. I enjoyed the course and got a lot out of it. I'd certainly recommend a course like that for anyone who is thinking about it.
A week later, I bought a used 500 Vulcan from a dealer. Once I got over my initial jitters, I had a great time with it. I've put about 3200 km on it so far, almost entirely inside Toronto. I hope to do more highway riding next season. Already dreaming of trading up, although I'm still happy with this bike.
I had it out this afternoon, and I hope the riding season will last for a while longer.
