My old university had a team. I should've joined if I wasn't busy with school. I heard it was competitive.

Have a buddy who was an engineer for an FSAE car...it was full CF monocoque with an R6 engine standaloned and tuned by the team...the people doing these projects are not doing "garage build" level stuff.

Why would you chuckle?? Many people including me have never heard of FSAE and what it is. I thought we gave OP solid options, but looks like he disappeared after the first post?

Anyways, good luck to him/her and their team.
