2013 gsxr 600 intake air cover removal??

I want to take off the plastic covering the intake air tube on the RHS of the bike do I need to remove the whole front cowl to do this???

Simple answer. Yes. Both sides and the top as well. There's also push pins under the nose that have to come off.
