"A fatal motor vehicle collision occurred on Sparta Line, west of Fairview Road, Saturday afternoon in Central Elgin.
Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police say a 59-year-old man operating a motorcycle lost control and fell off the bike, which then slid approximately 50m along the roadway and collided with the rear of a Ford pick-up truck, who had been trying to make a left turn.
Police say the force of the impact trapped the driver of the motorcycle under the truck, and he was pronounced dead on scene."
