I'm saying that there is a strong trend towards spending a ton of money on a bike, then spending as little as possible on a helmet.
In the past, Arai had many of their helmets fail the performance test required by SNELL (it is a separate debate whether this is good or bad). More money spent on helmets is mainly correlated with weight/quietness and look. Almost none of the extra money affects protective ability.
