Hey all.
I have posted a couple times on the forums so you all know I'm back.
I have returned from my epic trip of a lifetime.
On July 12 I left on my trip and returned Aug 19
This trip lasted 37 days (a little over 5 weeks)
Spanning 1 Province and 11 States.
15150 km or 9413 miles
Weather....for 37 days i was pretty lucky
i had a little bit of rain the first day in MI
Crazy 104f heat in CAL and 5 hours of rain in MI on the way home.
Lots of 75f days and tons of sun.
And a bit of 72f and snow in MT.
Very little wind and rain so ya I was pretty lucky.

I blazed through MI - WI - MN - ND - MT and stayed in Red Lodge MT after 3 days of travel.

I wont bore you all with the details of this 3 days of travel except to say I had a dam fine pizza in Escanaba MI

I spent the night in Red Lodge MT at the Alpine Lodge.
This could quite possibly be the nicest mom and pop motel I have ever stayed at.
Its right at the begging of Baretooth Pass so it was a perfect place to start for the next day.

The next day i made my way through Baretooth Pass and down to Yellowstone and spent the night in West Yellowstone.
This was recommended to me by the owner of Alpine Lodge.
He also told me to start looking for your nights accommodations no later than 5pm as it is quite a busy season.
All of this was great advice and I thank him for that.
Ran into some hail that lasted for about 5 mins.
Lots of snow buffalo and beautiful countryside.

More of Yellowstone

I spend the night in West Yellowstone and made my way to Belgrade MT to the Harley dealer and had all the fluids changed.
I then made my way to Hamilton MT to spend the night

Had a great nights stay in Hamilton.
It was here i decided to change the trip a little.
instead of heading west I was going to head north the next day

I woke up early the next morning as it was going to be a big day.

I made my way up to Glacier National Park and did the loop and spent the night in Polson MT.
What an amazing ride.

Spent the night in Polson MT.
The next day I made my way to La Grande OR

That #12 in ID is a ridiculous road
99 miles of canyon riding with beautiful sweeping curves.
And then there's the #129 - #3 in OR
lots of push steering this day and my shoulders paid for it.
I was pretty beat by the end of the day

After my night in La Grande I made my way to Westport WA where I would spend a week in a condo in the beach.
I took I84 and I82 then took #12 between the 2 mountains.

Once I reached Westport I rested there at the condo for about a week.
needed to recharge the batteries.
I spent my time on the beach and site seeing but mostly resting.
I'm going to also take a rest from this thread now and will post more tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more.

this is super interesting to me because I did a big trip this summer too. I regret missing Beartooth Pass. I crossed further north, over Rogers Pass.

Westport WA is a beautiful little village on the coast in Washington.
While here I spent some time on some amazing beaches and had some great meals.
I also spent this time getting in touch with family and friends.

I've always wanted to pass through yellowstone and california, keep the food pictures coming!

Great pics. What year is your Road Glide?
