$70 Cdn for a nice Super in Danville....$50 paid by travel points. Cheap tour and the weather seems okay.

Single floor looks good for the bike.

Any suggestions for interesting roads to the S and East.
Taking it easy as I'm just about out of pad on the rear but feel like wandering a bit. Half day to get there as I'll leave very early ( best laid plans n all )

Hell just went out to fill up and it's gorgeous out...almost feel like leaving now.

Timmies on 16 - lovely ride down - 10 minutes at the border just to get into the Nexus lanes then zing.
BTW guard says keep bike in middle of the lane so they can see the licence plate.

Tim Hortons regular oatmeal a bit too large...small would do :D..

Gonna head over by Petrolia NY and take some back roads down towards Coudersport.

BTW TomTom has a major upgrade and wow - a much better look, easier to read yada yada

this looks okay for an easy day

Had a good ride yesterday tho getting off the wrong exit when tired and low on gas did not help. 32 bloody KM round trip to get back to the correct turn.
Came over Hyner State Park - lovely road but keep an eye on fuel. Mostly followed 44.
Good meal and good sleep in Danville....$70 for an "okay" Super8 ....skipped the free breakfast which is usually good....wanted to beat the rain.

Woke up to no rain and gunned it back home by 2 pm.
Rain gear worked fine including the boots and the iPhone on the bars.....couple of spots of hydroplaning kept me awake.

Annoying at Letchworth Parl....was going to have Sunday brunch at teh Iris ....old biddy at the gate would not let me through to Inn.
Geeez - I didn't carry any US cash and they give it back to you at the Inn when you eat so what's the big deal letting me through.

So I settled for a tasty and filling and very cheap goulash at some deli in the middle of nowhere to the north.

$7 instead of likely $30 at Letchworth....their loss. Unlikely spot for tasty food but it was pouring and lots of locals parked. Mostly take out but some tables to eat at. Goulash was great $3.99 for a pound of it and then $1.99 for a Starbucks cold coffee. Hit the spot and by the time I finished the rain was over. :D

Letchworth does not take cards or Canadian money anymore so if you wanna go in - you gotta have cash.

Found a fast route I like that goes right by both Letchworth and Corning - both good eating spots and it's a very fast run to Williamsport.
Primarily on 15 which at some point is going to be Interstate 99.

2 hours easy riding and actually quite spectacular as it runs through low mountains. in the Tioga State Forest.

Then another 3 to Toronto from Letchworth. http://www.letchworthpark.com....or you can choose to break at Corning.
Museum is very good, cafeteria is amazing good. http://www.cmog.org

It's less speed trap prone than going south on 16 to Coudersport via Olean and puts you much further south. You do go down 400 then cut east to hook up with the southbound roads then 15.
Loads of decent motels in Williamsport area and not a bad jump off spot for riding east, south or west.

I stayed in Danville.

Leave at 6 am and get in before noon and have half a day left for the twists. No tolls, road is mostly very good

Going down I managed to chase down 18 through Petrolia NY and enjoyed that route into Coudersport tho Winding Roads wound it up a tad tight....couple of false turns.

Finally stumbled on Corner Cafe in Ulysses which I had been trying to find. Good home made food in Amish country and cheap. Stuffed for $5
Check the prices :D

Good ride despite the rain ....it was warm - the worst part really was some strong cross winds on the QEW coming home but then when I turned the corner onto 403 having it behind me was sweet.

Hope no one is caught up in what ever the traffic mess was going toward Niagara out of Hamilton.
Was lined up way back to the 403 exit.
