Riding to Montreal n back, any advice?

I made it from burlington to montreal and back in 9 hours with an hour stop in montreal. This was in the early ninties. Wouldn't try it now. Lol.

downtown Montreal to forks of the credit. Might have been done in 4 hours and 6 minutes also in the 90s. After my last trip and the amount of cops on the roads I wouldn't even consider it today. Anymore than 120-130 with the flow on the 401 and you're getting pinched for sure. Op be especially careful if going in dark hours. They love to hide from Belleville on...

I learnt that one the hard way, doing 140 near Belleville trying to pass a line up of suspiciously well behaved tractor trailers..DUH didnt clue in til it was too late. I cant even imagine how fast you were going gsxr guy, cant be bothered to do the math lol

Schwartz's on the Main (St. Laurent Blvd) for smoked meat. Also hit a LaFleur's for steamed hotdogs and fries. Total greasefest and unbelievably good.
Lots of good restaurants in St. Henri area of Montreal, still reasonably priced.

Montreal born and raised here. Mad Hatter's on Crescent makes a badass poutine. It's a total dive but the poutine is worth a visit.

If Schwartz's is packed go across the street to the Main deli (big red sign) - also a great smoked meat sandwich.

Myself, I would either go straight east and cross into NY just past Kinston, hitting some nice NY roads, and then head due north to Montreal. )
I like this option, Im guessing you mean take 11 until getting to 15 to go up north? or is there a better road?

Totally checking out Mad Hatter n schwartz...drooool (im hungry now)

If you want the low hassle way to get into NY from Kingston take the free wolf island ferry, ride to the other side of the island then take the $9 ferry to Cape Vincent. If you time it right it's quicker and way way less dull than crossing over the Thousand Islands bridge. Put it this way, there's usually always room on the Cape Vincent Ferry, always room on the Wolf Island Ferry and US customs is never more than 6 cars if that because that's the limit of the US ferry.
