What is fascinating to me is how many Canadian people have this problem (not us, the immigrants).
In other words, why do some Canadians, boys and girls alike, have this particular physical characteristic? Is this an anthropological question? Is there a biological reason? Is it caused by canoeing and hiking? 'Cause I have skinny calves and I have never been in a canoe, so maybe that's it. Or maybe related to the consumption of maple syrup and timbits?
I used to have an American girlfriend, and she used to say "When I gain weight, it goes to my thighs". My Canadian girlfriend says it goes to her calves. Why? What’s going on? Is there a geneticist on the board that could explain?
Thank you.
