I have not done a search yet, but was wondering if larger tires on a cruiser are good/bad/ugly.

I have noticed in the dealership most of the tires are wider, just forgot to ask and was looking at other things in the showroom.

Thank-you for any advice, mainly thinking of cruiser bikes maybe next season bike God willing.

Wrongly-selected tires will bugger up the handling just like on any other bike.

Sure that makes sense, so do we assume the new models with stock wide tires or ok and effect mainly steering? and to what noticeable degree?

Bikes are designed to work with certain size tires. Some bikes come with a 130 rear, others a 180 or in the case of the Triumph Rocket 3, a 240.

The manufacturers design the bikes to work with a certain tire size. They know what they're doing.
