Thanks, Mac, but I'd rather avoid I-90, it's just no fun. I think I'll start out on 415, running alongside I-86 and I-390, then figure it out from there. In no hurry to get home after the race.

Sorry, I get it now. I looked at your map on my phone; the image was so small, I thought you misunderstood and chose I-90. Turns out I've done that route before.

Thanks for the help, though.

Here's what I ended up doing: http://goo.gl/maps/BydOF. Quite a lovely ride, despite a bit of rain. About four hours from Watkins Glen to the Peace Bridge at a leisurely pace with a couple of breaks. Very light traffic at the border on Sunday night, by the way.

Hmmm... I did a similar ride last year, except slightly west of Hwy 86/390. I took the back way... Hwy. 417 (Addison Rd.) to Hwy. 36 along scenic Canisteo-River Road to Canisteo, Hornell, then Hwy 70 to Portageville, through Letchworth St. Park, Mt. Morris, Geneseo then 20A home (not as scenic as the first leg). http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/ny_cr119.html http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforu...e-Suggestions&highlight=letchworth+state+park

We have always gone down thru Letchworth State park on the way to the Glen
