Plastics add horsepower. Ontario is a scam with insurance on all you younger people. It's not right at all. For now I'd skip the ss and look at either something naked, super motor etc. You can still have lots of fun on other bikes. What about looking for a fz6r? Still a "sport" bike but a lot more friendly to insure I would think. Just a thought :dontknow:
You'd think.....
I got quoted the same price for a fz6r as I did for a 600.
You consider the SV650? Yes I'm biased I own that bike. I went through a broker through, still paying like $2400, and im 23 with one minor ticket on record.
Yeah I guess, but it's just so discouraging and the immediate age stereotype and how anything with the word "sport" the price sky rockets...
That's why.Im 18 with a g1m2, full time uni student.
+1 for a wr250x or a drz sm at your age. (I'm 24, GM2, 3 seasons exp, MSF course with desjardin paying around $800/year, for liability + fire/theft) I guess it depends on the person and the reason for wanting a motorcycle, but I am having a ton of fun with the drz on the road. If you're using it for a toy, or shorter distance commuting you can't go wrong. I think i'll have a supermoto in the garage for the rest of my life, they're just too damn fun.
