Yes if the Blu-ray player supports it. Some br players allow you to access multimedia sources.

Amazon just signed up with HBO. So all HBO shows will be available on Amazon prime (starting mid may) as long as they're 3 years old from release date. So, the wire, deadwood, Sopranos, etc...

But, Amazon prime streaming is not available in Canada, but that's a very small problem with ip spoofing services for $5/mth. Amazon Prime for one year is $99 and if you ever do shopping in US it's worth it just for the delivery time.
