I hope this is technical enough for this section.
I'm just looking for tips on how to prevent rust forming on the spoke eyelet holes on my rim.
The rim is powder coated the spokes are stainless but it is obviously hard to keep a completely unblemished finish especially at the eyelet. Spoke installation and movement may scratch the surface. The edge right around the circumference of the eyelet seems most vulnerable.
Anyway all I can think of is remove any surface rust that formed, use some rust converter to neutralize whatever is there and apply some
Inhibitor like acf50.
I'm willing to do that but it seems like a lot of work. I'm used to aluminum forged rims lol.
If the seasoned spoked wheel riders have any tips I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
