Exhaust Project

I need some help with an exhaust project that I want to do. Basically on my Yamaha FZ6R, i want to cut the exhaust right after the headers and possibly bolt/weld a new pipe with a slip-on of my choice. This way, the catalytic converter is removed and I do not need to spend almost a grand on a full exhaust system. There is almost no slip-ons for this bike and anything worth getting is a full exhaust which is not in my budget.

Something like what is shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VonRAXzpH6o

Is there any shop or someone around who can do a custom project like this?

Thanks.

These guys will certainly do what you need .... http://www.championcycle.ca/ ... you could probably just drop-off a bike and they would do it all if you have that kind of a budget. Not sure how much money you will end up saving compared to buying a fully design system for the bike.

Or you do the rough cutting and design a mock up of a pipe with a slip on of your choice and bring it to any capable welder. The slip-on of choice will not make a huge difference in your performance anyway as long as you stay close to the stock muffle length and diameter. This would certainly save you quite a bit of coin, question is whether you can do any of the work.

Ideal winter project, rather than doing this at the beginning of the season ....
