Wow these windshields look awesome!!

Well it depends, generally if they all have similar prescriptions within -/+ 0.25 it shouldn't be too bad but if its any more than it won't work and would probably put more strain on the eyes of people who don't need the intensified strength.
 
this would be really cool for a helmet shield. for a car, not so much.
 
Agree, not such a great idea for car windshields unless you're the only person who will be driving it. This limits the application to race cars and track toys for the most part. And if your prescription changes you have to change out your whole windshield?

But as a helmet visor or goggle lens I'm surprised it wasn't available years ago.
 
its been available in goggles for decades, dive masks have a lens that gets glued to the inside of the mask as a watertite seal is a bit hard with glasses. The goggles were really limited in style and really expensive and when you get where your going you still need to have glasses to put on unless your sitting on a patio with goggles on. Not beer goggles........

I'm guessing it wouldn't work good. With any prescription lenses the thickness varies according to distance from eyes. A contact lens with same scipt as a pair of glasses is much thinner. The amount of cornea ablated in lasik for same script is thinner again. So a prescription windshield couple feet out might not work. To unwieldy.
