Braun's Cycle in Kitchener

I know this is about bicycles, but I just found out that Braun's cycle is having a liquidation sale (they closed their doors back in February).

I was wondering if anyone who lives near Braun's (in Kitchener) has been there, and if so is there bike inventory still left over? Is it worth going down? (I live in Toronto)

Do you have any more info? At one time the had a surplus of Manitou steerers for sale. I wouldn't mind grabbing a few if they still have any.

JUST recieved the following email from Brauns:

Braun's is BICYCLES

To Our Valued Friends:

All great enterprises must eventually come to
an end. We thank you for your friendship and
support over the past 89 years, but now we are
closing our doors.

Circumstances now require that we liquidate
our entire inventory of bikes and accessories,
repair parts and all remaining hockey gear.
Our entire $300,000 inventory must now be
sold.

Everything in the store – absolutely everything
without exception – is reduced for immediate
liquidation. All bikes, accessories and parts
are 40% off and all hockey gear is half price.

We will be open:

Tuesdays to Fridays - 10am to 6pm
Saturdays - 10 a.m. to 4pm
Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The liquidation will continue until
everything is sold.

It’s been 89 years filled with wonderful
memories and friendships. But it’s time to
change gears. Not yet sure what the future

Did some research on the liquidation and it seems there's a whole lotta shenanigans going on. Braun's owed $77K in back rent to their landlord, who just happened to be a company called Braun’s Property Mngmt. First "sale" was Feb 28, where the liquidator was selling everything at 20% off sticker price (sticer price was usually MSRP+ there), which is barely bro deal at your local LBS. Next round to move the remaining stock will be lower, but by how much is anyone's guess. 30-35%? Still not that great. Worth the drive? Probably not.

While sad they're shutting down after so long (they had a section of antique stuff there you'll never find elsewhere again) I'm not surprised. They were very expensive for pretty much everything.

It's 10 minutes away from my work. I'll swing by and check it out. Anything in specific you guys were looking at?
