Any better Quotes?

Bike:'08 Suzuki GS500F (Put 500km on it last year and same with this year)
TD Insurance Basic Coverage = 1.6k

Anyone know where I can get a cheaper quote (<1k)? I barely ride the bike (relative to other riders) and
if I cannot find <1k I most likely can't ride this year :(

Any suggestions thank you in advance

Yes, you may be able to find a better quote.

Your BEST bet is to pick up your phone, and call these companies:

Aviva1-800-387-4518
Cornerstone(416) 798-8001
Desjardins1‑877‑699‑9923
John Duffy(905) 479-2013(ask for Brian; I found everyone else to be incompetent)
Riders Plus1 877-251-4504
State-farm1-888-476-3276(ask for Seamus - member on the forum)
The Personal Insurance Co.1 888-277-6481

Also, I would recommend you purchase liability + Comprehensive, but not collision. If you're not interested in Comp, ask how much it would cost anyway - if its only a few dollars a month extra, it may be worth it.

Finally, make sure you post back your findings!

Where do you live (postal code)? That's a crazy low rate...

m2-3years G-5years (clean)
age 24
suzuki gs500 2008

thank you for the list. i gave them a call

Cornerstone-3120$
Desjardins-2600$
John Duffy-2702$
Riders Plus-3011$
State-farm- Wont touch me (i must have M)
The Personal Insurance Co.- No dice
TD- 1434$

TD told me they don't "bend over and take it, until 25 no more".
These are liability + Comprehensive, but not collision. for woodbridge but my car is at 4000$ with TD :(

Be happy with paying that rate, I know people your age paying double and triple that amount.

State-farm- Wont touch me (i must have M)

Call another SF, they don't care if you have your M1, M2 or M, its all the same price.

Granted im 28 but I only have my m1 and am being insured by statefarm.
Maybe age is a factor in this case but id call another state farm.

Do you belong to any groups or are you a graduate from a post secondary school? If you are try TD MM. I got my cheapest quote from them.

One suggestion. You won't like it, but it's the only real answer if you must lower your insurance. Wait for it....
Sell or trade your gs500 for a 250cc. Otherwise, it's park the bike and try again next year(it won't go down any).
