The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Looks like the price is down to $2,300 now...at 41,000 km over 10 years that's only 4100 kms a season. If I was in the market for an SS i'd probably be jumping on this.
People place way too much weight in km's. Everyone saving the bike for the next guy. My 09 gsxr 600 has 39,000 km and runs like a dream.

Agreed I'll do around 10,000 kms in a good year, I have no problem bringing my 08 GSXR 750 over 100,000. Lucky I got a great deal on a low km one and it's into the normal range now, I have no plans on saving it for someone else. I bought it to ride not hang out at Tim's and show it off.

Wow. SNag it now, don't register, wait 4 months...make a grand

There are a few things to consider when buying a 2015/16 or earlier cbr300. The 2015/16 and earlier cbr300 had many bikes under re-call for a major engine repair...honda doesn't brag about it and there are cbr300's who never had the recall done and should have. With the vin number you can contact honda to see if it is one of the affected models. If you want to see some pics of 2015/16 cbr300 motors full of metal shavings check the model specific forums. Ask for paperwork on the bike for the engine rebuild by honda?

Here is a 2016 that sold for $2800 recently with 4500kms. not the F model, sport model

if it's running and braking and straight...worth $1k?
I'd say more than that. Anything decent, certifiable and running, $1500-2 grand. You can't get much for that.

Can't expect perfection at that price point.

Bikes fall down. Who cares if its a little cosmetically challenged. For an entry level bike that a new rider is going to drop, $2 grand is nothing.

And that 2007 zx6r is a smokin' deal. Lots of life left in it and doesn't break the bank.
