The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Not a bad asking price. It's just so rare and such a cool bike I had to share. Trial and trail hybrid, 280 2t, ultra lightweight for a trail bike, and its street legal!
I'd love to use this bike to beat the Corduroy Enduro!

Street legal? It's a 2 stroke.Don't think so.A lot of commonly replaced parts are shared with Gasgas and not hard to get.Other parts can be sourced from Europe. If ridden at a relaxed pace like the trail bike that it is,you won't hurt it.It is overpriced by a bunch tho. Here's a couple of links to euro parts.

Those are the worst advertising pictures I've seen in a long time. Phone pics of (or scanned) old, low-res, paper pictures. I especially like the photo with his fingers. How tucked away is the bike, for it to be easier to cull through an old photo album to find photos to snap with your phone, than to take pics of the actual bike with your phone? And how old are those photos? LOL

lol....awful pics
bike must be in storage and unaccessible
but you can get better results taking phone pics of prints than that

I am upgrading from a 250cc cruiser and now looking towards buying either a Vulcan 900 classic or Suzuki C50.I prefer the LT version of Vulcan 900 or Suzuki C50T (touring version) since they come with all the accessories- Windshield, saddlebags, passenger backrest and footboards instead of pegs.

I am specifically looking for the above bikes since i want a fuel injected, non chain drive motorcycle.

On Kijiji mostly the bikes listed are between $3250 to $5000. (most are sold as is).

I am looking to keep my purchase to $3500 for a certified bike (2007 model or later, less than 20k kms).

Is this a reasonable budget for my requirements? Would be great if people can share their opinion!

You're better to start a new thread. Following responses in this thread won't be easy. Why no chain?

Thanks- I was about to start a new thread, but seeing that @Joe Bass received a lot of great suggestions some time back in this thread (Although I am no Joe Bass in terms of popularity :) I thought I would give it a shot here in this thread.

No chain because I just want to keep the maintenance aspect low (From what I know, shaft or belt drive needs minimal maintenance)/

Unless you are doing tons of miles, chain maintenance is no big deal. The tricky part with shaft is it isn't super easy to inspect whether previous owners have properly maintained it. You need to take the shaft apart and inspect the splines to see if they are worn. If the splines are chewed up, it's not a cheap fix. A chain is easy to see how much life is left. The big upside to shaft/belt is much less time spent cleaning. It is hard to keep a spotless bike with a chain (if that's important to you).

This one likely belongs in the "stupidly overpriced" thread but it's so rare and in such pristine condition that I'd rather share it here and see what others opinions are.
