I think GTAM has been missing out on an electronic thread !

Let's keep everything related here: pics/vids from festivals, or if your planning to go to one, and so on..

I'm going to see Eric Prydz this weekend. Anyone else going ?

Does the old House Music Lovers Thread count?

If it counts for anything, (or dates me) I remember really starting to get into trance around 1993 and listening to so many rave tapes from X-Static. If you like any of that older stuff, check out http://www.torontoravemixtapearchive.com/xstatic.html which is a massive collection of ripped cassette tapes from some amazing old parties from all over the world. Lot's of Toronto gems from old Chemistry, Nitrous, Pleasureforce and Destiny parties.

I recorded this one set that had most of my favourite classic trance anthems in it... not sure how this stuff fares against what's out there now, as I'm mostly a house and jungle head. It's still up on my still deceased website here: http://shanekingsley.com/mp3/DestinyHighdays.mp3

Check this out. http://grooveshark.com/playlist/Older/92888695 Older progressive and trance that has a soft spot for me. Unfotunately my memory sucks so this playlist is work in progress. My all time favorite is Les Djinns

Not trance, but I have:

Sharam
Roger Sanchez
Hernan Cataneo

podcasts on my usual listen list. I am open to suggestions too.

Group Therapy with Above and Beyond. 2pm every Friday, 1.5 hours of their mix + 30 mins of a guestmix. Fridays have not been the same since.

Hoping to go to the next Veld concert next summer.

I'd suggest Digital Dreams. Being by water with a beautiful view of the islands and the city vs meadows (!) of Downsview Park is no comparison. Lineup is better as well, not to mention the entire organization.

I just saw the thread now lol can't believe how many pros on board !!!

Nothing seems as epic as Tomorrowland

1) UMF Miami for being in Miami
2) EDC Vegas
3) Tomorrowland, but then it's too mainstream and they have a very unfair control over the mainstage, as they give the Belgian bros Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike priority over some of the masters.

Been to tomorrowland. Amazing experience. Europeans for sure know how to party. But too draining, both energy wise and financial wise. I am looking forward to 1. Armin only in Toronto and 2. BnB in Montreal @ same weekend! There, my contribution to GTAM EDM scene.
