Yeah - that's why I'm taking time to get a route I can live with.
I like getting a decent distance west with interesting scenery - that far north in June would be a treat - long long twilight.
I'm undecided as to be
a) well rested and put in two long days on the southern route slab to get within striking distance of the interesting upland areas. More meandering on the way back. Downside is heading into the westerlies.
b) do the Superior route, cut down in the Dakotas - ride slower and take more time Slab back with the wind.
c) go underneath Superior through the forests to the Dakotas.
Anyone done HWY 2 across there?....seems it's the Lewis and Clark route.
