I read $850 million, and many believe that to be on the low side.

I heard 1.1 billion. It's unreal to think that there is that much expense, 32 deaths, thousands of engineers......all jut because some bonehead was trying to impress some people on the shore

It's gonna be scrapped. Way too damaged to refloat/refurbish for use again.

I think it's partially the boat owners insurance, but the boat owners are also out of pocket for a big chunk (like 40% or something), since the insurance won't cover all of it.
