2 arrested in motorcycle theft ring.

Maybe we can start a petition to have them serve an alternate sentence? Deliver them to L&L every Thursday night for "re-education" sessions every week, for the remainder of the summer.

.
So what, a bunch of people can stand around and not say anything to them? lol

Don't sell your fellow riders short. They can be just as bad as anyone else and have the advantage of both knowing what stuff is worth, and having and having a ready supply of buyers for it.

They know where the demand is for parts, for sure. There are go reasons why Japanese ss600s are so high on the theft lists.
And part of the problem is that they know exactly where to fence this stuff, and the fact that buyer's don't care if its stolen, because they know they are stolen.
Re-selling whole bike with fake VINs is just stupid, it was only a matter of time before they got caught.

I wish that were true, but we have been seeing this over and over again. The same guys busted just go back to getting busted again after a few years.
The penalties for stealing bikes is a joke, it pays to steal the bike. First offense is a fine, second offense is maybe 6 months.

Is it the same guys over and over though or just copycats who have realised that stealing bikes from condos is like doing shopping in your own private mall?

Same guys. We've seen this before, article appears with names, Google the names and find the same guys busted a few years prior. They went right back to it as soon as they paid the fines and just took a few years to get caught again.

Cops need to determine exactly how some condos are easy pickings.

Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure it out.

Crappy camera's, false sense of security with gates, easy to get in and out.
Some have paid off security guards that will pocket a couple hundred $$ to take a longer coffee break from their desk, but more often than not for $10/hr, they can't be bothered.

Not all condo's are created equal. The busiest condo's make the best target because traffic is constantly moving in/out. No one pays attention to a van. Just another soccer mom going about her day...

"Rocket Surgeon"? This is an extremely intelligent person, no? One who is both a rocket scientist and a brain surgeon? :p
But yeah, you have a chance to make a week's pay to spend a little more time dropping a deuce? Wouldn't be much of an issue for many people in that spot, imo.

They need to figure out who is scoping the bikes, and how they get in and out, but it definitely has to do with these BS security guys.
They could easily plant a few R6s around and figure it out.

There really isn't a proper punishment for stealing someone's bike, especially first offense. Whats wrong with beating the crap out of the theives, taking back whats left of your bike and a little something extra for your troubles? Half serious lol
