Is There Any Bike Out There That Can Give You 400+ km's On Tank Of Gas?

WTF?

Anyhooooo....2011 CB1000R on average at 200-250 I start looking for a gas station. From my understanding it is a 17L tank with a 4L reserve.

You should know lol, if you ride one of the inline-4 engines hard into the powerband they scream

300ish kms when I get a warning (3.5 litres left in 19l tank). Bike does around 5l/100km, so if I rode a little more conservatively and drained the tank, could probably push 400.
2007 650 versys

My bike is my every day commuter. I consistently get 200-210kms before the light comes on. With the light on I easily have another 40-50kms but I'm often near a gas station when the light comes on so I just fill up.

Looking at my fuelly the most I went on a tank is 246kms and I put in 15.3L to fill it afterwards, so that means I had about 1.5L left in the tank (17L capacity).

Typically I refilled my 2007 FZ6 every 250-300km. I've seen peaks of 350, 360, 370 km to a tank. I'm sure if I rode a steady 80km/h in a tuck I could get over 400. So it can be done, but why bother?

2007 DL650 Vstrom 22 litre tank - set tripometer and fill every 500 km regardless of what the guage indicates - once went 670 km in upstate NY through Adirondack Park despirately looking for gas before running out about 1/8 kilometer from a station.

1/8th Km? as in 120m ??

I generally get about 380-400km per tank doing highway speeds, 22L tank on a VFR800. That drops pretty quickly if you're moving fast. I put 21.8L in after going 320km, pinned at 140-145km/h for several hours in Utah.

3 bikes - different results. No range anxiety on the ST1100 - but wallet shock when filling the sucker up in Australia at $1.55 per litre and the Aussie dollar is worth more than Canadian

The Honda ST1100, also known as the Pan- European, is a sport touring motorcycle that was manufactured by Honda until 2002. ... 28 l (7.4 US gallon) fuel tank, one of the largest ever supplied for a motorcycle, giving it a range of about 300 highway miles (480 km); ..

KLR 650 has 21 litre tank ( larger are available ) and I can get 400 on that at modest speeds tho the knobbies reduce that. Nice to have the big tank when out in the Aus boonies but I top up when half down just in case.

Burgman 650 15 litre tank 220 KM or so before I tend to fill up but I get 22 km per litre on average so 300 km is possible tho cutting it a bit thin. Usually fill up at 200k - need a break anyway but short range sucks ( James Bay road the gas stations are 380k apart )

••

Yeah speed kiils mileage for sure on. Burgman drops 20% when over 120

Over the life of my 2008 DL650 I've put on just under 35,000 km (short daily commute, occasional tour), and average 5.12 l/100km (thank you RoadTrip app!). With a 22 litre tank, this comes up as 429.286 km possible, but I have ridden almost 450km on a single tankfull on the highway.

08 CBR 125. 300-350km I think. 10L tank. Super cheap and easy on gas, also super slow and good on insurance. My brother 06 SV1000 get **** gas mileage, something like 180 and the light comes on. Not sure of tank size though.

On my Monster 696, usually about 190km before the light's on, I average 19km/L. Worst I've done is 15.5km/L, best I've done is 23.4km/L. Fuelly.com is a useful site to keep track of everything: http://www.fuelly.com/driver/derp/monster-696

2008 Daytona 675
240kms - gas light (~14L)
308kms - stall and push (just short of 17L)

I've only had to push once, but the gas light at 240 is almost religious.

My aging 250 still gets over 400k for the most part. I think I can get 450k before it runs dry with it's 18L tank.

Just did a tad over 300km awhile ago on my 00 vfr, when I filled up at the station it only took 15.5 or so litres. Leaves me another 6L or so, now I am curious what my range is.

Have to strap a gallon can to the back some day and go on an extended ride to check. Might be 400km or more.
