Is There Any Bike Out There That Can Give You 400+ km's On Tank Of Gas?

there are aux tanks out there that make 400K+ peanuts for any bike,

mostly a US thing tho

lol.. My 2016 Tuono (18.5L capacity) if I push the **** out of it will give me about the same about 140-150, but if I ride it relaxed i can squeeze out around 220ish km

with the light on, and rolling in on fumes no doubt lol

2010 Concours14.. in Economy mode 440km+ per tank. 4.5km per 100. We're talking highway milage here.

probably.. lol.. still have not had to push a bike, so I'm hoping my luck with reaching gas stations does not run out anytime soon..

I have; sputtered in at 30km with light on. I wouldn't push too far.

My duc 996 does about 140 to the reserve light. Or as I like to think about it,... just over an hour in the seat before I need to start looking for gas... and a good stretch!

Wait...how does 4/l100 kms suck compared to 5.1?

You're burning 1 less litre every 100 kms when you ride the bike, it's better.

Car = 55 IMP MPG
Bike = 70 IMP MPG

Notice I mention weight of vehicles since that is a huge determining factor in fuel efficiency/consumption (ie. try pushing a motorbike versus a car/truck, notice a difference in effort?). The car weighs 6 times more than the bike but only requires 1 litre of gas more per 100 kilometers, so the car is way more fuel efficient.

I'm not expecting a 6 times reduction in fuel consumption on a bike, only that if bikes were tuned for fuel efficiency like most cars, they would likely require only 1 or 2 litres per 100 km. Heck, even the Smart Car uses less than my bike and gets 3.2 l/100 km!

Weight actually is not that great a factor except in stop and go traffic. Aerodynamics and rolling resistance play a much larger role.

High tire pressures and a very streamline shape makes far more difference on the highway than the weight.

Honda PCX150, steady 90kmh on secondary highways up north a few weeks back, 1.8l /100km

I just filled up my 2011 cbr125. Rode 408 km (new personal record), took 10.7 litres. 2.6 L/100 km.

I can constantly put more than 450km per tank on my 2014 CBr500

About 500kms with my FJR 1300. I don't baby it and consistently achieve 4.8l /100kms.

Honda CB500X, I can get 400km+ Easy, 420km uses around 13.5L, it has a 17L Tank. I'm yet to push it to zero, though 500km+ is possible theoretically.

I could get 450 km out of my Buell S3t but, it would be flat top, straight away, 120 km/h Max and would be boring as heck. I take the cage instead.

It also has a 20 litre tank. Lol.

Here are a few bikes I've tracked touring mileage. The Average is my overall average when running hard. The Max is the most I've ever wrung out of a tank.

Bike/Average/Max

VStar 250 - 275/323
EX250 - 380/436
DL650 - 420/480
FJR1300- 397/507
GSXR1300 - 346/399

That's pretty good, I can get that on slab with cruise control set at 110kmh. At 140 it drops to 6.3, and when I go for a twisty romp she's slurpin' down 6.6l/100.
