Moto Gymkhana Drills

Thanks so much SLaP for setting this up :)

I've got lots to work on. Can't wait to practice again.

No problem, hopefully we can set up the bigger course this time.
I will bring a Happy Meal for the parking lot attendant next time ;)

As we get closer to this year's Rock the Red event, it's time to ramp up the application process. Honda wants applicants to "be creative" when showing what they can do.
Here's my video from the 2013 event:

Nice work!

I was also in the Moto Gymkhana competition last year ... ummm kids edition! ;)

^OK... see you next week Raf

Tonight's session is going to be after sunset, since today is a scorcher.
Heading out at 8:30pm, if anyone's down.

My rear pads arrived, so I am getting them on tomorrow. If all goes well, I would be up for next week, or any evening starting tomorrow.

^ Might be getting out again this Thursday evening. If you get the brakes done and are up for Thursday, let me know.

I wasn't able to get my brakes done today, but Thursday around 3pm I should be good, so I expect to be able to come out. I will be in the west end near Keele/st.clair. Roughly where and what time do you plan to start practicing?

^ Hey Shane, glad to hear you might be able to make it out! Looking forward to meeting you.
I will PM you with a couple ideas for location and we can figure out a time!

Here's some raw video from Tuesday night's practice session in a small lot. Couldn't setup a big course, but still managed to work on a few things.

I had my brother come out to film. (Long and boring, MGK newb alert, watch if you have time to kill)

If anyone, especially any experienced Moto Gymkhana riders, have some constructive criticism I would love to hear it!

Also, if you have video footage of your Moto Gymkhana practice sessions post them in this thread so we can share constructive feedback and criticism.

Thanks for the kind words Emefef! But I know I will be up against some stiff competition with some seasoned veterans and pros. I still have much to learn!
Looking forward to meeting you at the Rock The Red event or for a practice session before!

Head to head action. Looks like fun!

I will be out tonight solo doing some drills.

For those of you who haven't tried out Moto Gymkhana yet, and want an idea of where to start, watch this informative video.

Not quite the same but....Saw this at yorkdale the other day and cudnt help myself hehe

Nice Bettyvee. However, you might not want to do it there, those posts may be flexible however they are bolted to the ground and if you hit one it could get messy.

Do you have some friendly tips for us to make it more of a competition for you? Looking forward to meeting you!
