Now to convince SonnytheBull to buy one so we get to see it riding around the GTA.

What is the price on the Yamaha 500? I didn't see it on the site!

All that stuff is over-priced due to it's heritage. If you really want to buy a 500 V4 GP bike....

Buy a brand new one from the guy who developed the Roberts, Ilmor and Kawasaki MotoGP chassis'

From MCN, the world's number one motorcycle publication
www.motorcyclenews.com

MotoGP/500GP chassis and engine-builder Suter Racing is launching the bike it says fills the gap where a ‘real bike’ should be – for well-heeled trackday addicts. Pitching it as the ‘two-stroke Desmosedici’ – a factory GP machine for public – the bike will feature a new injected 500cc V4 producing over 200bhp, in an evolution frame based on the gorgeous Ilmor X3. Counter-rotating crankshafts will kill vibration and gyroscopic resistance to turning, and customers will be able to spec the bike up to include carbon wheels, WSB forks and full titanium exhaust.

He's asking $200,000 US

How much is a kidney worth?

The Suter is cool but it's not a YZR I only know of 1 other YZR that is owned by a public person (a '92 i think and all he realy has is the frame the rest of it would be what yamaha sold to privateers.) other than Lawson Rainey etc... who got to keep some of the ones they won championships on
This is a truely one of a kind bike that some how escaped the crusher.

Cool bike, thx. ~$170,000 yikes

Collectors or museums are probably the target market, not the average joe.
Without access to spares, can't see that being run for very long.

Still... wish I had the money.

Incredible bike.

+1 for the Protons too!
