Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Holy crap, I know these go for a premium these days but WTF? $8000 for a z50?!?
Posting is gone, he either sold it for outrageous money or reads gtamotorcycle.

I just took a quick browse of their kijiji store: https://www.kijiji.ca/o-cycle-world-superstore/1006098435/1?referral=organic
By the looks of it, virtually everything they have listed belongs in this thread.
2014 CBR125R @ $3,500 - isn't that almost brand new price?
2012 CBR600RRA @ $10,000 - 7 year old bike for nearly the price of a new one.
2006 CBR600RR @ $7,500
2007 Ninja 650R @ $5,000
2008 YZF-R6 @ $8,000 - weren't these under $10g new in 2008?
2006 Ninja 500R @ $4,500 - this bike is such old tech that it was barely worth $4,500 brand new in 2006, never mind 12/13 years later.
etc.

Who the heck is pricing their bikes for them?
Quoting myself. Thought I'd circle back and have another look. 2.5 months later and it looks like every one of the bikes I listed are still there ... with unchanged prices. Plus a few new ones:
2012 Honda CBR250RA @ $4000 - isn't that what they sold for back in 2012? No depreciation in 7 years?
2015 Honda CBR300R @ $4300 - again, isn't that what they sold for brand new 4 years ago?
2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 @ $4300 - see above.
2009 Kawasaki ER-6n @ $6000
2015 Suzuki GW250F @ $4000 - really? really!? 4 year old used bike with the same price as it had new off the showroom floor.

I don't need a bike, so I don't know why I go to that site, other than for the entertainment value.

Agree completely with your opinion of their pricing practices, and not trying to defend them in any way, but it's tough to sell anything when they shut the doors for 3-4 months every year.

That is a DEFINITE heat target, to get pulled over. Sure "ALL modifications were DEALER INSTALLED" There is NO way in H'ELL that a dealer installed the plate mount like that!!!!

Better hurry though if you don't buy it by end of Feb he IS increasing the price...lmao He is already over priced.

Holy, check out that license plate mount  like that will never get you pulled over.

2013 Yamaha FZ8 for $7900. Looks in good condition, but Brampton Powersports was clearing out brand new ones for $6999 near the end of 2013. Not sure what caused this particular bike to increase in value of the past 5/6 years?

Based on this thread, Yamaha FZ seems to be the most likely bike line to appreciate with time. My guess is the relatively low starting price draws in people that like the image of riding and spend a ton of money on appearance upgrades (upgrades is used loosely here). They then get bored of paying bills associated with a bike and try to get all their money back because their bike is the best looking one out there.

Outrageous? It's a new bike with a ton of mods.probably a little high, but if you did it yourself it would be a bunch more than their price.A new 500 EXC_F is $13k.

GP has a 500EXC advertised at $11k on Kijiji. Only functional mod is the Warp 9 wheels which are $1500-2000. For the price, I would expect to see an upgraded front brake setup.

I can honestly say I have no clue what a fair price for this bike is, one of those cases where someone would have to want that bike exactly as it is.
