Saw that one and was going to place it here as well. If that is the case I can sell mine now for more than I paid two years ago and I doubled the kms. Might be a good way to make a $1000. lol. It seems harder and harder for people to insure SS bikes yet the cost of used ones seems to be rising and rising in most peoples mind.

I think it is important to take into account the condition of the bike. Can you buy one for 4k? Sure. But is it going to have twice the kms and need seals, tires, chain, sprocket, brakes. Suddenly your 4k bike is $5500 and is only $500 off the guy asking 6k for a mint one with low km.

Not even going to mention the bikes with "Movistar" edition fairing that are clearly eBay cheap plastic after a crash.

Not true. I purchased my 2008 GSXR-750 in mint condition with 12,00 kms, new tires, full taylor made exhaust, tidy tail, double bubble windscreen, levers and all the nice additions one would do to motorcycle for 6K. This was 2 full seasons ago. I think there are way to many SS bikes out there with prices way out to lunch. Anything priced reasonably is gone almost right away. A SOAR racer posted his SS for a great price and it was sold in hours. That being said there is a sucker born every day I suppose.

+1, i bought my mint 09 zx6r four years ago for $6000. it was end of season though and had less kms.

nope, fits the thread.

Must be "Magic" Water Damage if it can turn a Old Honda into a New Yamaha

Probably just uploaded the wrong pic.

I'd be curious to know what this "water damage" is all about. If its a flood bike then it's really only a parts bike (unless the buyer is ready for a full teardown and rebuild)

OK, Educate me, What's Wrong with it? To me It Looks like a Fair Price, $1951 Under MSRP & That's Not Including Options:
Factory Options:*Safety Package (Includes: Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment ( 3 Modes), Automatic Stability Control (ie: Traction Control), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Antilock Braking System (ABS))
* On-Board Computer (Includes: Tire Pressure Readouts, Gear Indicator, Fuel Gauge, Outside Temperature Gauge, Black Ice Warning, Total Kilometers, Tripmeter (2), Clock, Lap Timer, Stopwatch, Average Speed, Average Fuel Consumption, Current Fuel Consumption)
* Comfort Package (Includes: Heated Hand Grips, Centre Stand, Side Case Mounting Brackets)
Aftermarket:
Aftermarket Items:
*ZTechnik VStream Tinted Windscreen, Puig ‘Carbon Fibre’ Rear Fender, Puig Front Fork Sliders
And Other Stuff:
Notes:• Motorcycle stored in heated garage since new;• Motorcycle never dropped or ridden in rain;• Will include Optimate 4 Dual Program Can-bus Edition for BMW battery charger;• Will include BMW OEM clear windscreen;• Will include Oxford motorcycle cover;
• Will sell certified

Original purchase price $16,749.99
That's $2799.99 over Current MSRP, I'm Not sure What the Factory Option Packages Cost but I Could Believe $2800 for the Factory Options he Listed, Therefore He's Selling it for $4750.99 Less than what He Paid for it 2 Years Ago (Bought New from Dealer May 2016), Appears to be in Good Condition, Comes Certified & Still Under Factory Warranty for Another Year (May 2019)
So to Someone like me Who Don't know Much about Motorcycles, It Looks like a Good Price to me, so Educate me if it's not a Good Price.

He didn't either.
I don't buy into the BMW nonsense for pricing ...it's an 800 twin FFS.

save your money - buy something sensible that doesn't break and doesn't cost an arm and a leg when you drop it.

Something like an S1000XR MIGHT justify the pricing.....for the rider that can make use of its astounding capabilities.

but an 800 twin ...nah.

It's your money.
