He did well enough considering his recovery from catastrophic injury.
Made a couple points for lapping in the top 15 in the first race (due to an absurd number of crashes).
Second race presented well, but no points.
Still... congrats on the excellent performance - he can only go upwards from here!

Portimao Race One was epic. If it werent for the straight line speed of the aprilia he would have gotten fourth. It was very exciting to see a Canadian rider mixing it up with guys like Biaggi, Checa, and Rea.
Race Two was a solid ride from McCormick. He was up to seventh before falling back to 9th for the finish. Not bad for qualifying 13th!

I really hope he finds a decent ride next year because his performance in Portimao shows that he deserves to be at this level.

Sad news, we won't see Brett race again this year as Effenbert Liberty pulled out of last race at Magny-Cours:
