$2.83 Environmentally friendly carburetor cleaning

I have a spare fuel tank that I'd like to use on my track bike. Little bit of rust on the neck and a little bit inside the tank as well. Just dump this stuff in the tank for an hour or two and call it a day? I'll be removing the fuel pump if that makes any difference, thanks!

hopefully it's just surface rust, and not big flakes....

if surface

then

wash the tank out with vinegar and water mixture 50/50 or more white vinegar if rust is heavier, pour in let it sit for a while, once drained rinse with baking soda to neutralize the acid, dry well, you can fog with WD40, or fill up with gas if your ready to go....
