We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Will be hitting up the range again on Friday if anyone is interested.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Lol just switch to a normal club, get yourself on the BB mailing list and hover over the phone. Pick all the clubs on the list and rent a motel room if needed.

Yes I wanted to do the BB in the summer hopefully, I just wanted to get the holster cert for my range so I can practice and get as much experience with holstering as possible before doing the BB.

**** it, I just ordered a Daniel Defense MK18 instead. The new backstop at my range has already been made, they said by about April it will be installed and we can shoot rifle calibers. So I figured what the hell why not start building a rifle. Trying to decide between a Aimpoint or a EoTech EXPS3 in FDE right now...hummmmmmmmmmm

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

I bought a Tikka T3 Lite Synthetic yesterday (and sold off most of my SKS ammo and accessories, next goes the rifle).... now I need to buy some decent optics and rings and see what the accuracy of this rifle is like.

It comes with a 1 MOA guarantee apparently verified at the factory.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Anybody wanna bring me as a guest to their range...please....I have the itch and a P226 Enhanced Elite on the way.

Since I've moved down here it's been hell trying to shoot. Showed up at Target just before opening last Friday (there was a small line) and they told me I had to wait until friggin 4:30 to shoot...wtf?

GTA is a pita for new shooters. Took me 6 months to join at Burlington and that's quick from what I hear.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

My Mona Lisa AR15.22 build is finally ready to be revealed! Will be my IPSC Mini-Rifle Open gun. NEA lower, generic LPK, Hogue beavertail, Geissele s3g, Ace Skeleton stock, CMMG 22LR upper, Miculek comp (really just for the looks), Leupold Deltapoint and Troy Alpha in 15".

She will be shot at 100yds or less, so I didn't feel the need for magnified optics, just a quick 3.5MOA dot. Need a crush washer to properly mount the comp since the CMMG 22lr upper doesn't have enough meat to accommodate the thick locknut that comes with the Miculek comp, now I just gotta do function-testing with the trigger.

Looks like fun! What brand is that stand, and how do you like that stand? Im currently building an AR, not from scratch but I bought a bunch of accessories for it. So I want something to hold the rifle while I install some of the parts. Im getting one of those mats that I have for the pistol but was thinking of something like you have there, or even I have seen ones that go in the magwell and hold it from there...

Monday the rifle will be delivered along with some more parts, so far I got this

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

As I mentioned on Gunnutz, you can't go wrong with Eotech :) Not a big fan of foregrips.. Raptor charging handle is a good buy. I wouldn't be using this stand for a build. You should get upper and lower receiver blocks. I got mine off Amazon ...

http://www.amazon.ca/Aim-Sports-Low...=1425081906&sr=8-1&keywords=ar+receiver+block

The stand is only being used for cleaning and photo shoots and for that, it's VERY convenient. Allows me to pack away all my cleaning gear in one easy to carry box. It's an MTM cleaning stand, $30ish, I think I got it from Lemorons

I own a Tikka T3 Battue in 30-06, with...

Leupold VX-R 1.25-4x20 (30mm) scope
MaSi QD mount
Lumley Arms titanium bolt handle and carbon fibre bolt knob
Lumley Arms 4140 ordnance steel shroud (QPQ nitrided black)
extra 5-round magazine
all metal parts (except bolt) bead blasted, parkerized and Arma-coated in matte black

Yeah, she shoots!! :)

Nice porn, Triple! :D

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Thanks. I also have another custom made rifle getting an expensive case colour hardening job. Everybody has to have at least one walnut stocked and custom finished rifle in their collection. :)

Thanks I ended up driving out the Urban Tactical in Brantford to buy some .50 beowulf mags yesterday, they had the AR15 tekmat so I bought that for now.

I like adding forgrips to my guns in Call of Duty, so I am going to try one out on the rifle. I may swap it out later for a different kind of forward grip

Does anyone actually go to Silverdale this time of year? I want to test my rifle out this week, Urban Tactical send me an invite so I can go there, but its only a 50ft range! The facility is nice, but boy was I disapointed when I saw the size of the actual range. Its smaller then my range, good for pistols but I cant see shooting 50ft max with a rifle all the time

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Usual Silverdale BS aside, its nice in the winter. I wouldn't attempt it on a -20 day but if its warmer than about -5 its a good time to go.

Cool I see some videos on Youtube and there is snow on the ground, so I was just wondering how deep into winter people still go to shoot outdoors there. I hate the cold, but I can deal with it for an hour or 2 to be able to get some good shooting in.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

I've gone there during snowstorms. Honestly those are the best times to go, at least for me.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Today was a great day for guns and gun parts, I received 4 packages today. 2 handguns, 1 rifle and a lot of parts and accessories

The only part I didn't get yet is the Noveske KX3, its on back order so I left a deposit and should get it sooner or later. Tomorrow I hope to take this out to the range and test it out...After that I will be looking for bulk ammo, seems American Eagle is easy to get or PMC. If you had to choose between the 2 ammo brands which would you choose?

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Never had problems with either. I think I've shot far more AE though, so it gets my nod.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Saw the pics on CGN (I'm the dude with the gun-toting penguin avatar)... I see that you bought PCV mags... Good for plinking at the range, but eventually the feed lips spread out and you start getting double-feeds. Metal ones are coming back to our market. Check Flaherty's or SFRC. Those will give you much better long-term reliability. I sold off my PCV mags and just ran LAR mags. Even Norinco bulk ammo is ok.

Nice. Where did you get the tekmat from and how much? They are dirt cheap in the states but up here they are 3-4times the price.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

I'm loving all the pics you guys are posting up. I'm truly jealous. One day I'll have be rockin' badass guns like yours.
