Olds Cool... Post-up Pics of your 10 year or older bike!

Yeah, you knew I was thinking that. (Gas/electric )
2 different bike models or just 2 bikes, same model? Sorry for the stupid questions. I am consistently amazed at the stuff people on this forum are capable of doing/building. I wish I could figure out more than an oil change. And that was a chore.

Hybrid?

Hybrid - a little:

R1 - front end
R6 - rims and rest shock
TZ - front fairing
Honda RS - solo seat
Suzuki Gamma - tail light
FJ - swingarm
Kawasaki - clutch perch

And all the other generic stuff

Really, a more appropriate term would be Frankenbike. Lol

.

A wee bit more than 10 - I get the appeal of a 30 year old bike. Looks awesome BTW

Spent last sunday playing with it.(my daughter rode while i listened) She ate dirt once and bent the muffler.Hahaha.A fourty year old bike is going to need some fine tuning after a restoration.I had to change the fork spacers to shorter ones and raise the fork oil a bit.Rejetting the carb also made it much more rideable.
I forgot how much fun it is tinkering with old stuff.New technology ecu, fuel injection and ttx stuff takes some of the fun out of it.But i do feel guilty about the smokeshow with the 32/1 premix.

I picked up this '78 GS1000 as a project in December 2011:

It has taken me 5 winters to turn it into this:
