Leaving for my cross US trip in under 30 days and just trying to get everything sorted, the question of chain lube came to mind. Now I clean & lube my chain on a regular basis at home with a spray on lube but we'll be doing anywhere from 750 - 1000km a day on this trip so we'll have to clean & lube daily. Got me thinking what would be the best product to use or does it even matter?

Would it be better to use a spray, paste or wax ? I will for sure be using a spray cleaner to hopefully blast as much dirt out of the chain as possible.

If anything I'll bring a spray on lube, but figured I'd asked to see if anyone had a similiar issue on a trip.

Thanks

My friend bought a 2009 Vespa 150 that only has about 1000km from a private seller, but the scooter is in good shape, the stuff i can check are all working (brakes / lights / horn etc) , well its got only 1000km on it so basically its like new.

My question is do I need to get this towed to get it certified or are they mechanics who can just go inspect it and get it done so it can just be plated....

Its near Caledonia and Eglinton area if that matters.

Any recommendations?

I hear some ride with Hi beams in the day, but lows at night as to not blind incoming traffic or piss off the car in front at the light.

The next day, was surprised by my family with a bike :)
1988 Suzuki Katana 600
absolutely fallen in love with the bike, and I've only ridden it for maybe 3km. After the Super Sherpa I was riding for the course, the katana seems to ride so comfortably so much more sturdy and solid feeling, Some work to do to it, but hey.. for 1200 certified and a first bike, its Perfect for me.

Just had a few questions. the ignition (the actual key section on the handle bars) is very loose so you have to jiggle the key to start it, can that be replaced without having to take the upper part of the tree off? and the back seat section, are they plastic or cushion ( its in getting a clutch cable replaced and a new chain put on so I cant check and was too excited to even think to while i was looking at it).

went to state farm today and got insurance on it a bit high but whatever.. i imagined it would be (130.62/mo) all plated and legal, now just waiting to pick it up :)

I love my family lol

I am looking to replace my CT saddlebags. I will do some longer trips with my girlfriend so I need as much space as possible. Hopefully I can find something that won't take up passenger space. The CT bags worked well with a passenger. Hard bags are out of the question since no one makes a frame for my F2. These are the biggest I found:

Firstgear Silverstone Saddlebags
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...addlebags.aspx

16.9”L x 9.2”W x 10.2”D (Expanded)

Any one have either of them? Anything better out there?
