from bike forum all over north america i often see people make fun of gixxer riders. that seems really unfair. just wondering why is this?

the common ones i hear are:
"here comes another gixx squid/poser"
"what? u ride a gixxer? hahaha"
"he didn't drop his gixxer, it committed suicide"

i dont see it as much/at all in europe

It's just a situation of something stupid attracting stupid people and others noticing. It's like Civics.

No, the Vanilla Ice video is the something stupid. I'm sure there's other things, but just making my point.It's just like Fast and the Furious was the something stupid for Civics.
 
Gixxers are like the Mustangs and Camaros of the late 80's and 90's. Attractive for the power they have, the price and the aftermarket to bling it out.
 
Sorry, i don't realize how persuasive my comments are sometimes.
 
Them being the most affordable bikes so obviously a lot of people ride them and a lot of people who may not take the sport seriously... **** 'em all
