There's jays motel on hwy3 about 10 minutes from the track.

No need for you do to it, the winds at Cayuga already do a good job destroying brand new tents. I don't think i'll be camping it in October, even with two heaters going and a hammock it's freakin cold in there, my tents a summer model. I'd rather drive back...

hehe you guys are hilarious I was looking for Hotels in Hagersville at the time it got posted, just for fun/help... I didn't even think about TMP being full.. hehe everyone's still worried about the cold. Better stock up on Long Johns.

I think I'm going to be absolutely frozen. Worst case scenario I sleep in my car. I'm going to attempt to camp though. Might try and find a furry companion.

I would most likely rent an open trailer, if I was to consider the motel where would I leave the trailer and my bike?

I leave my trailer and bike at the track and I ask one or two of the people I know to 'keep an eye on my stuff for me'. I lock up the bike with a cable (similar to http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows...ble%2BLock.jsp) and lock the trailer hitch.

It's a calculated risk, like a lot of things in life.

If you can't sleep for worrying about your bike or trailer going missing, you can consider taking them with you to the motel and using a cable lock to secure the bike to the trailer. I'll do that when I'm at Mosport and I stay at a motel in Oshawa, for example.

I thinking of doing a day or two but my main concern is the temperature, both for my body and cold tires on the track(no tire warmers you see). I haven't caught up to the confidence level my tires are capable of providing.

Me too. I try to accept the fact that I'm not going to set any personal bests when the temperature doesn't get into the 20's and I just try to have fun riding. Work on being smooth, work on body position, work on threshold braking - lots of things to improve, even in the cold.

At least the tires last longer when it's around 10 degrees!

So if lets say if did have a track crack problem, which i don't...would anyone know if there are any spots left for the long weekend???

There are still spots left. I booked today and could've got in for all 3 days. I'm in for the 10th and 11th in beginner (I'll have the giant pink X on my back!!!). Book!
