No unfortunately not we have to pay for every crew member.

No but they tend to be pickier than regular track day tech and would like to at least see some silicone on critical fasteners... just bring some silicone with you and you should be fine. You'll probably also have to remove your lower prior to tech.

Why remove the lower? Do they really look that much at tech?

I think we need to remove the lowers 'cause Allan like to look at our bits

Seriously - yes lowers off for tech, it is more detailed than standard track day tech

Oh I get that much but there is nothing you can see with my lowers off that you cant see with them on...So its kinda pointless IMO, but I guess some bikes are different and people try to cut corners...

I just hate taking off the lowers, cause of my spray bomb paint job..

easier to see that things like oil drain bolts and oil filters are wired.

You can see my drain bolt easily just looking through the hole in the front of my lower, as its right there...And my oil filter is on the side of the bike right about my front sprocket cover, and can be seen easily just looking at the side of my bike...

So like I said for my specific bike its kinda pointless but I understand I have to follow the rules like everyone else...

Having the lowers off also allows us to spot things like loose or missing bolts or other items that aren't necessarily on the Tech checklist but may cause a problem.

you should just buy a bunch of lowers and paint them all the same...that way when you scratch the rattle can paint job you can just replace it with a new one...problem solved!

LOL Johnny's version of a rattle can paint job is like my version of a pro job, maybe rattle can primer but that's it the rest of it is mint!

The fun thing about a SOAR weekend is you only have to do tech once.

I always thought those had so much potential for awesome paint schemes. One day I will buy and set, just to paint em.

what do stunters do to new guys that show up and start asking people to change the rules, whatever they may be to suit them because they don't like how things are currently done?

    1 There are not rules

and 2 Im not trying to change any rules, just saying that sucks we have to remove our lowers each time just to see a few things...

The only rule I would like to change is the no wheelie rule at track days

Once people get used to seeing you around Im sure this gets more lax, but its good because I saw that guy from here highside right in front of me for no apparent reason..Then I read on here that said a bolt fell out of his shock linkage, me being behind him I could have been hit by that bolt

If you're lucky, that's usually not the case though!
