Ok folks. We had our 1st annual GTAM tennis tournament. Our resident tennis pros, Jessica aka RodJes and Onu aka Dragon. Both ranked in the top 10 on some GTAM Tennis ranking boards, here are the pics from today:

Jess was smiling and laughing all match. Such a good sport for all the fun we were poking at her. I'm surprised she played as well as she did considering all the heckling the spectators were doing! LOL!!! And you can tell from this smile how much she loves tennis!

After the tennis match it started to rain (I know I know, WHAT RAIN RIGHT? Trust me, we were the only people in all of ontario to get rained on today, just the 6 of us, yep. Dark clouds followed us from tennis to east side marios where it dumped down HEAVY! We'll have to leave Janice at home next time (inside joke, and just joking of course).

Onu beat Jess in straight sets. 6-2, 6-2. There were some really close points, up to deuce #5, and game point #3. Some tense times, and crazy mind blowing points. Will definately have to shoot video of the match next time!

After east sides we rolled to Kennedy Commons and then to come crazy bowling alley beside Caddy's and Rumours. I won the first game, and Cliff the next two. Then me and Jess left so I dunno who won the rest!

So, anyway, back to the meet.

They have two outdoor tennis courts, and at least 8 indoor ones. The indoor ones cost a lil money, so if the weather is poor we'll all split the indoor costs

Lets try and get all the GTAM tennis people to come out for this. Even if you're not a tennis person, we have extra rackets and stuff so at least give it a try! I havn't played tennis since I was 10 and it was pretty easy to pick it up today. So come out and give it a whirl. It's amazing excercise!

We also plan to setup some beach volleyball, badmanten, ping pong and possibly hockey/skating matches too so even if you don't like tennis stay tuned and we'll mix it up from time to time.
