I rode squid yesterday and loved it. I don't frown on people who do it, but I will frown at the ones that wipe out and complain of how much it hurts.
I personally understand that I am much more at risk to injury when riding without my jacket should I fall off/be thrown off my bike, thus why I only do it on rare occasions when I am just putting around enjoying the scenery.

There are alot of states with no helmut laws. I have seen many ride without one and when I was in Floirida I rode around on a scooter without one. Come to think of it I was only wearing shorts and my sandles. Each to their own.

Which is more stupid? Riding without gear but defensively and cautiously so as to avoid unnecessary risk of collision? Or to load up with ATGATT and then completely defeat any protective ability of that protective gear by riding the street as if it was a race track?
