Wazzupp.. I have an entire week off and I'm thinking of doing some up north trips. First on the agenda is Muskoka, this is the route I was playing with.
Anyone have any suggestions? I just posted the roads up around Muskoka, getting there is 400.
580km in total.
Don't want to do motel trips.
Lets hear your opinions.
---Route deleted. Thanks for everyone's opinion, I've updated it and riding this Friday. Come along, find us in the Rides/Hookups section!

that map looks good. i would be tempted to do southwood/11 both ways though, the 400 will be a drag.
big chute was a was of time when i did it this year. way too many large bumps to enjoy.
I was just on Big Chute and it was a bit bumpy before it gets nice and curvy, but also watch for a bit of sand in some of the sharper turns.
The #7 (peninsula rd) from Port Carling has a few big bumps but is otherwise in good shape. There was an OPP about 1/2 through - parked and waiting for people. Followed us all the way north to the 141 and then turned away.
I'm sure you are aware that Southwood has many rough sections on it and may not be the best thing for a group ride where people are often trying to keep pace with the rider in front. I like it, but it does have a tendency to bite many experienced and inexperienced riders alike.
Avoid Swords Road as it has many gravel sections on it and is not really that enjoyable because of the construction.
The 518 is in awesome shape. The #3 in/out of Huntsville is also an awesome road. You might want to include the 35 through Dorset as that is a bunch of fun with great scenery. You could rearrange your route to have way more twisty roads and way less hwy, but you do have some of the best Muskoka roads in there...
Something like this? Total will be closer to 800km, but much less hwy.

I believe that there was a route posted in Motorcycle Mojo this month.
Caution on Southwood 13 i think the road is getting worse by the day, 518 is freshly paved
