*** UPDATE ******* (Sept 7, 2009)
So I've been wearing these gloves everyday since I bought them and I must say..week 1...I was about to return them, I thought they were too small..the hard plastic knuckles made my knuckles feel like they were bleeding!
Week 2 until now....WOWWWWWWW Awesome gloves =) I love them! The video posted states to get one size bigger, i say suck it up and break them in! These gloves ROCK! and they look like you just killed a black alligator and put its scales all over your knuckles lol =D BUY THEM!

I am about to buy new gloves, and these are certainly on the list. Best price?

I got the 2008 GP Plus earlier this summer..... fantastic gloves.
these look more or less the same, but question: the wrist.... on the 08's it has a harder plastic facing upwards. this looks like they removed it?

That's the GP TECH glove.

So who's coming through with the reply to my question on who has the best price?

you could probably just shop around yourself... why should we do it for you? You'll find most of the prices in shops around the GTA are more or less the same.
I bought mine from EBay.... $60 cheaper than standard retail.

Basically since this thread is containing posters that say they "just got a pair" I thought perhaps that the work had already been done.
Sportbike Track Gear has them for $124.95 USD. I doubt it can be beaten, and I'm not going to look... actually I will, GP Bikes has them for $204+tax. You didn't even tell me what "standard retail" was.. Are you quoting USD from the Alpinestars website?
Anyway if you paid less than $140 CANADIAN let me know... if you have it in your cold heart.
EDIT: Oh, nevermind.. I see you are posting about gloves you don't even own???

GP pro are EXCELLENT.....And the crash well also......LOL
I'm posting about gloves that are even better than the ones you're looking at
GP Tech > GP Pro > GP Plus
and yeah, i bought my GP Pro gloves from Ebay for just around $180-$190 CDN with shipping.... so you could get a better glove online, than you could your Plus model in store for only $40-$50 more

is the dude I bought it from. comes brand new in 5 days to your door. exchange rate is shyte now so it might be about $200 w/ shipping. GP Bikes has the GP PRO gloves for $260 + tax.

They hold up well in a crash.

^^ My eyes hurt!
You have the biggest hand i've ever seen!
I'm looking to get a good full gauntlet, i'm leaning to the nexo cobra plus' that Pannon sell because they were hella comfortable, haven't tried these alpinestars on though.
Decisions, decisions.

Sorry chaps. I thought that I'd edited the picture out as it truly was massive. Either ways up the gloves did me no wrong.

I just went down at TMP wearing my GP PRO Gloves....... I'll post up pics tomorrow.
Long story short: I did a superman slide before tumbling away (way too fast coming out of turn 2), slid about 30 feet in total, but the gloves held up amazingly well. No rips or tears, just some leather smudges and a good scrape on the plastic cuff. If I was wearing my SP1 with soft-cuff I might have broken/fractured something in my hand (judging from the impact/way I landed).
Track or street, I'd recommend the PRO, way better than the GP Plus (and at the EBay price I posted, you can't go wrong).
